Update on reopening

We are very pleased indeed to announce that Winslow Activity Club (meeting at Southcourt Baptist Church, Aylesbury) will be re-opening on September 9th 2021.  Sessions will be held on THURSDAY mornings between 9.30am and 12.30pm.

Clients who were attending sessions with us in 2019-2020 will be welcome to come each week from  the first week.  Anyone who has attended in earlier years and would like to re-join the group, or who would like to start coming, should contact Fran on 07790 304975 or Jackie on 07762 090525 to enquire about booking a place.

Coronavirus Update

Winslow Activity Club is currently closed due to the continuing Coronavirus risk, especially to vulnerable adults.  Until the government regulations and specific advice for groups like ours changes, we will unfortunately have to remain closed.

We all miss seeing our clients and carers on Friday mornings, and no doubt you miss your mornings of activities, massage and music. We do expect to re-open, still at Southcourt Baptist Church , just as soon as it is safe to do so. Our clients’ health and wellbeing is our priority,

Updates will be posted here on our website and on our Facebook page, and all current clients will be notified when sessions are due to start again.

Coronavirus update

Following the latest Government advice on the Coronavirus pandemic, Winslow Activity Club will continue to be closed for the rest of the Summer Term.  There will therefore be no sessions from Friday 5th June to Friday 17th July, nor over the Summer Holidays.  We will review the situation again at the end of August.  Have a lovely summer everyone, and we will look forward to welcoming you back just as soon as it is safe to open again.

Fran West, Trustee

Coronavirus update

Following the latest advice, Winslow Activity Club will remain closed for the first half of the summer term.  There will therefore be no sessions from 24 April until 29 May 2020.  We may need to remain closed beyond that date, but will review the situation again nearer the time.  In the meantime, we hope all our clients and their carers will remain safe and well.

Coronavirus

We are sorry to have to let all our clients and their carers know that we will not be meeting again this term due to government health advice for preventing the spread of Coronavirus.  There will therefore be no sessions leading up to the Easter break on March 20th, 27th and April 3rd.  We will review the situation before the summer term, which is currently due to start on Friday 24th April 2020.  We hope that you will all stay well and we look forward to seeing you again whenever we are able to reopen.

Summer Term

Winslow Activity Club will start back again for the summer on Friday 3 May 2019.  This is one week later than originally intended because the room is required on 26 April for a funeral.  We are sorry for the inconvenience caused by this change, and would also like to send our condolences to the family of the child who died.

Closure

Winslow Activity Club will be closed today 1 February 2019 because of the snow.  We hope to open again next Friday as usual.

Our New Term

Our new term starts on Friday 4 January 2019 at the Southcourt Baptist Church in Aylesbury and will continue every Friday until 5 April.  There is no break for half term.

Winslow Activity Club is moving

We are being evicted from the Winslow Youth Centre at the end of July 2018 as the building is being demolished as part of the redevelopment of the Winslow Centre site by Bucks County Council over the next few years.

After much searching for new premises, we have decided to relocate our Friday morning activity sessions to Southcourt Baptist Church in Aylesbury with effect from 14 September 2018.  There is good parking space, disabled access and toilet, and plenty of space in one large room and another cosy massage room, not to mention ideal kitchen facilities.  This is really the best available venue we have seen (and we have looked at many!)  and we are really looking forward to continuing to provide a welcoming and safe environment and interesting and worthwhile activities for you all to enjoy.

We recognise that a change of venue may not be perfect for everyone, either due to the new location or the difficulty for clients in adjusting to a new place, but we very much hope you will join us there.

We will also welcome new people from the Aylesbury area who may wish to join us.
